Forza Horizon 5 has been an absolute phenomenon since it came out in November 2021. Almost 18 million players have played the game to date, making it the most successful Forza Horizon game ever made. The game has a huge garage that keeps increasing with every update. Porsche’s cars are a sensation among several car enthusiasts worldwide, and Forza Horizon 5 has a wide range of vehicles Porsche has made over the years. Today, we look at the Porsche 911 series that has a huge fan base, and every car from it Forza Horizon 5 added so far. To be more specific, FH5 has as many as 11 cars that fit the category.
1. 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS
The 1973 Carrera RS belongs to the first generation of Porsche 911 cars, and it was a fast car back in the day. While it wasn’t Porsche’s first 911, it was the one that set Porsche as a dominant player in the prototype class. The car has a solid spoiler and a flat-six that sets its design and speeds apart.
Engine | horizontally flat-six air cooled 2,687 cc |
Transmission | five-speed (manual transmission) |
Power | 207 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 147 MPH |
2. 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
The 1982 911 Turbo 3.3 is a very distinctive car in the 911 lineup. This car has a “whale tail” unlike any other 911 entry. The aggressive wheel arches make it a very interesting design. The only caveat is the fact that the Turbo model has four gears, compared to five on the non-turbo Carrera variant. The success of the 911 Turbo 3.3 made the fortune of the 911, a legend that lives on to date.
Engine | turbocharged flat-six air cooled 3,000 cc |
Transmission | four-speed (manual transmission) |
Power | 292 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 158 MPH |
3. 1995 Porsche 911 GT2
The 1995 911 GT2 car from Porsche was built for the tracks. It was so track-focused that Porsche never came up with 4 door models, unlike the previous generations of the 911. An extended spoiler, a lower ride height, and a more aerodynamic design pushed the top speeds of this accelerating machine sky-high. It even got an engine upgrade in 1998, one that is not featured in Forza Horizon 5.
Engine | twin-turbocharged flat-six air cooled 3,600 cc |
Transmission | six-speed (manual transmission) |
Power | 440 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 177 MPH |
4. 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Straßenversion
1997 GT1 was built for sports car racing. It is a mean accelerator and can travel at supersonic speeds, so to say. It is so fast that driving can get out of control anytime inside Forza Horizon 5. While the original design was built for 24 Hours of Le Mans, and that one never made it to Forza Horizon 5, what we get is a turned-down, road-legal version of the car, which was named the Straßenversion. This car shares almost no features with other 911 siblings and is the fastest in the bunch.
Engine | twin-turbocharged flat-six 3,200 cc |
Transmission | seven-speed transmission |
Power | 592 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 269 MPH |
5. 2004 Porsche 911 GT3
The 911 GT3 vehicle was another rear-wheel-drive track-focused homologation of the Porsche 911. This car was Porsche’s offering between the costlier 911 Turbo and the more affordable 911 Carrera back in the day. In the game, this car is great for speeding down the straights and taking a sharp drift in the corners.
Engine | water-cooled, flat-six 3,600 cc |
Transmission | six-speed transmission |
Power | 376 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 191 MPH |
6. 2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS
2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is another rear-wheel-drive track-focused 911 that boasts looks and performance in the same chassis. This sixth-generation 911 with a twin-turbocharged F6 can push up to 600 HP, and it is a great car with smooth controls and handling when you keep the speeds at a limit. Unsurprisingly, it’s monstrous when you push the engine to its limits.
Engine | twin-turbocharged, flat-six 3,600 cc |
Transmission | six-speed transmission |
Power | 602 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 216 MPH |
7. 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
The 2014 911 Turbo model is another mean track-focused 911. The car was all-wheel drive and used a massive 3,800 cc F-6 that could push up to 560 HP. It is also the first seven-speed transmission car on this list, and power is transferred via a dual-clutch “PDK” transmission system. It is exceedingly fast and will give you a great time on highways.
Engine | twin-turbocharged, flat-six 3,800 cc |
Transmission | seven-speed, dual-clutch “PDK” transmission |
Power | 560 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 216 MPH |
8. 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
The 911 GT3 RS vehicle from 2016 pushes every limit as a 911 model. That’s because it comes with a massive 4,000 cc naturally-aspirated F6 engine that can push almost 500 HP. This car is different from the previous 911s because it uses a rear-placed engine, and does not utilize a turbocharged engine. It is a rear while drive car and is more of a lightweight track car, weighing 22 pounds lesser than the 911 GT3.
Engine | naturally-aspirated, flat-six 4,000 cc |
Transmission | seven-speed transmission |
Power | 493 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 233 MPH |
9. 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS
2018 911 GT2 RS is a successor to the 2012 model of the same name and is based on 2016’s 911 GT3 RS, which was a lightweight track-focused car. It packs a 3,800 cc twin-turbocharged F6 engine that can push a whopping 690 HP. The car comes with the same rear-wheel-drive rear-engine seven-speed transmission design as the 2016 GT3 RS.
Engine | twin-turbocharged, flat-six 3,800 cc |

This rear-wheel-drive road sports car packs a 3,000 cc twin-turbocharged F6 that can pump a massive 444 HP power output. The 2019 Carrera S vehicle also comes with a significantly improved design, a continuous taillight, that was discontinued in the ’90s. Every eighth-generation 911 carried this design.
Engine | twin-turbocharged, flat-six 3,000 cc |

Power | 444 HP |
Top Recorded Speed in Forza Horizon 5 | 198 MPH |
11. 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
The 2019 variant of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is an upgraded version of the 2016 911 GT3 RS. It packs the same engine as its predecessor, but power output was increased to 514 HP. The car also came with a redesign, handling improvements over the 2016 model, and better suspension. These improvements helped it beat its predecessor by 24 seconds in Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
