Rainbow Six Extraction came out a few days ago, and it got a lot of players because the game was given for free with the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Microsoft and Ubisoft require players to link their accounts, and the game gets automatically added to your account. But, the process did not go that well for a lot of gamers, and many people are stuck in the linking process.
If you have tried to link Xbox Game Pass with Rainbow Six Extraction to play the game, and facing some problems while doing that, this guide is for you. Now, since you are here, we assume you have tried linking once before. If not, then try it once again with our help.
1. Verify Your Game Pass Subscription
Anyway, let’s try the good old way. Make sure you have a valid Game Pass subscription on the account you are using to link the game. Yes, if your plan has expired, you are simply out of luck. Microsoft is not going easy on you.
2. Login Through the Correct Microsoft Account
Also, a lot of you folks have multiple Microsoft accounts, right? Make sure you are logged in with the exact account which has an Xbox Game Pass subscription. These small mistakes happen to everybody, so you might want to recheck.
3. The Game Will Be Accessible Through Ubisoft Connect
Now comes the moment of truth. After you have successfully linked your account, the game will show up in Ubisoft Connect and not in the Xbox App. Yeah, now this has never happened before, right? Well, this small little thing had me for quite some time in the beginning.
Therefore, head over to Ubisoft Connect’s official website, and get Ubisoft Connect if you do not have it installed on your PC. Download it, log in through your respective account, and the game should show up in your library.
A lot of people will be confused with this step, so verify it a few times.
4. Do This if You See “Error: Ubisoft Account is Already Linked With Another Epic Account”
Okay, and now in case you are getting an error that says that the Ubisoft account is already connected to another Epic account, you got to do three things. One of them will work, hopefully.
- Once again, go to Ubisoft’s official website, and log into your account. Retry linking Rainbow Six Extraction.
- If that does not work, log out of the current Ubisoft account, and utilize another account you had previously used.
- If that fails, you are out of luck. Simply make a new Ubisoft account, and you are good to go.
5. Relink Your Ubisoft Account to Xbox App
Most times, the error codes pop up because your account did not get properly connected to Ubisoft. Thus, yet again, head over to the Ubisoft Account panel page and make sure you’re signed in. Go to account information, and scroll down to check your connected accounts. If Xbox does not show up here, you know what to do—you must restart the linking process.
6. Reach Out to Ubisoft Technical Support
However, if it shows up here, but you cannot access the games, unlink it, re-link it, and it should work.
If none of these steps, you need to contact Ubisoft Technical Support. Ensure you’re logged in after visiting the page, then start chatting with the technical support team. These steps should get your accounts linked, and will let you enjoy the game.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is available as of January 12, 2022, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
