Vice City is based on Tommy Vercetti, a criminal who just got released from the jail after 15 years. His boss Sonny Forelli sends him to Vice City to complete a drug deal. But things didn’t go well as planned Tommy nearly getting killed. His boss asks the money back from him and orders him to complete the deal. In a rush to find a solution for the issue and figuring out the mastermind behind the attack, he meets several gangs who will complete missions with him and help him out from the rival gangs waiting to take him down.
The missions are optional like any other games in the GTA series. You could either complete missions and go that way or simply roam around Vice City driving cars or motorbikes, walking and running throughout the open world, and shooting down anyone you see on your path.
