Microsoft constantly adds and removes games from the Game Pass subscription. Titles are added twice a month and removed twice too. Five games have officially left yesterday, June 15, but will be removed on 16. Recently, Game Pass added 7 new titles over the first half of June. These titles include big AAA blockbusters like Assassin’s Creed Origins and For Honor, along with some noteworthy releases like Chorus.
Now it is time for Microsoft to remove some older games from the library to ensure a continuous flow of the titles offered by the subscription. More titles will be removed later this month, but, we do not have any additional information on them to date. The five games that were removed from the Microsoft Xbox Game Pass subscription include:
- Darkest Dungeon
- Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance
- GreedFall
- LIMBO
- Worms Rumble
More About the Removed Xbox Game Pass Games
The first two games on this list, Darkest Dungeon and Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance are roguelites. The first game features a dark and medieval Gothic atmosphere. While it was received well, the second game lived up to hate from players. But, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance was added to the Game Pass subscription on day one. Unlike the first two games, GreedFall is a unique AAA title that has managed to create its distinct fan base. The game is a 2019 action role-playing game from Spiders.
The fourth game on this list is LIMBO. Unique in its style, LIMBO is a critically acclaimed 2D side-scroller that focuses on a small boy in search of his sister. He travels through of miles of dense forests fighting several creepy and mysterious characters along his way. The game is known for its dark and haunted atmosphere. Its storytelling techniques are praiseworthy too. Worms Rumble is a 32-player action battle royale title from Team17. It is a spin-off of the long-running Worms series. The battle royale also supports multiplayer cross-platform gameplay. Alongside Last Worm Standing, the game also has a Deathmatch mode.
All these games will remain in the Game Pass subscription until June 16. After that, they will be removed. Players who have the titles installed will be prompted to buy them before continuing. Microsoft will remove more games from the subscription on June 30. However, the company has not revealed the titles that are leaving yet.
