Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard entered Season 3 on April 27th this year. However, the game has been riddled with numerous problems over the last several months. Thus, Activision is rolling out a Season 3 Reloaded with quality of life upgrades and new additions to the title. Players can expect some big changes in the gameplay mechanics. Warzone is also introducing a new underground transit around the map of Caldera to make matches much more strategic.
When Will Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard Season 3 Reloaded Update Roll Out?
Activision has officially confirmed the release times for the mid-season update to Warzone and Vanguard Season 3. The new Reloaded season is supposed to roll out on May 25, 2022. We do not have exact hours when the season will become available to players. But, judging from Activision’s previous update times, we can expect the update to arrive around noon ET, 9 AM PT, or 4 PM GMT.
What are the Updates Coming With Season 3 Reloaded?
Call of Duty normally adds more weapons, modes, and maps to choose from while playing Warzone with its mid-season updates. A previous update to the current Vanguard season, named Season 3: Classified Arms, added a bunch of weapons. The Reloaded update will by far be the last major to update to this season. It is supposed to add the H4 Blixen submachine gun to the game.
H4 Blixen SMG has a bit of backstory in this update. Among the new skins to be added is Kim Tae Young, a masked fighter. That skin will reportedly be the final one to be introduced this season, and her favorite weapon is the aforementioned submachine gun. Thus, following the update, players will get the skin and the weapon as a combo within the game.
Updates to Warzone
Warzone is currently very interesting with Operation Monarch. Kong and Godzilla, two Hollywood titans, are fighting a head-on battle within the battle royale for quite some time now. Operation Monarch is scheduled to end on May 25, so with the introduction of the Reloaded update, we might see Kong and Godzilla leave Caldera. Warzone developers had mentioned that an improved system for footstep audio will be introduced to the game sometime within the season. The Reloaded update can be a great time for this update.
The game will also introduce a new underground transit system in Caldera. This upcoming feature was severely teased at the end of Season 2 with rumbling noises during the gameplay. The transit system allows players to travel to and from 14 regions spread across the map on a minecart. The system has its pros and cons. It can help some to run away from a fight. Also, some other players can get ambushed at the destination.
Changes to Vanguard Multiplayer
A small multiplayer map named Sphere will be introduced with the Reloaded update. Sphere is a tactical map that takes place within a weapons lab. The setting is gritty as it is based under a coal mine. The developers described the weapons lab as “brimming with secrets”. Other than that, Vanguard multiplayer should not expect anything new. Apart from Sphere, the update will only feature bug fixes as of now. However, we do not have official documentation from the developers, and the probability of getting a new game mode remains high.
Updates to Zombies
The Reloaded update will not feature any updates for Zombies fans, unfortunately. Zombies will reportedly shift back to its traditional maps sometime soon, as Treyarch announced recently. But, it does not seem like the new maps will arrive anytime before Vanguard Season 4. Season 3 Reloaded will be pretty significant for a mid-season update. We cannot wait to try out the new features, skins, and weapons!
