E3 2021, the biggest virtual gaming conference has been on for the past 4 days and is now finally over. It showcased a pile of new gameplay features, new games, and trailers from many of the biggest game producers and developers. Several great gaming brands like Nintendo, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Square-Enix, Capcom, and Bandai Namco presented major conferences and live streams. We’ve given you a summary of all the greatest announcements made at E3 2021. So, if you’ve missed it, give this a quick read and you’ll catch up on everything! Here is a day-by-day dissection of everything great that happened at E3 –
E3 2021: Day 1 – Ubisoft Forward
The Ubisoft Forward this year was mainly focussed on its recently revealed “Rainbow Six Extraction”. Rainbow Six Extraction is the much-awaited action-horror spin-off of the legendary Siege game. Apart from that, it showcased the new looks of several games. There was a brand new look to the Watch Dogs Legion’s Bloodline Expansion, bringing back Aiden Pierce. Secondly, there was a reveal of “Sparks Of Hope”, a sequel to Mario + Rabbids. The Ubisoft Forward closed up by announcing the next game by Ubisoft Massive, named “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora”. This game is set to take place in James Cameroon’s Avatar environment.
E3 2021 Day 2 – Xbox + Bathesda Showcase
Microsoft was intending to showcase the first look of their next open-world action RPG Starfield at the E3. Unfortunately, it was leaked way before the event. Apart from this, Microsoft offered us a great deal of new and updated games for both Xbox consoles and PC. It showcased the reveal of new games like The Outer Worlds 2, the new gameplay of Forza Horizon 5, and added footage of Halo: Infinite’s multiplayer mode. The next expansion to Sea Of Thieves is now bringing Captain Jack Sparrow from the one and only Pirates of the Caribbean film.
Most importantly, the show showed us the first look of Redfall, featuring a group of super-powered vampire hunters. The showcase ended with presenting the gameplay of STALKER 2: Heart Of Chernobyl.
E3 2021 Day 2 – Square Enix Showcase
From the latest Square Enix Showcase, it is clear that Marvel Games are still standing the highest priority for the publisher. On the other hand, the Final Fantasy series is shimmering amongst all the upcoming games. The show started off with the reveal of the single-player focussed Guardians Of The Galaxy game. However, the first look of this game was revealed way before the start of this show. Apart from that, Babylon’s fall (by Platinum Studios) gets a new look this year along with new gameplay features. It now works online and allows players to visit each other and gather loot.
Finally, Square Enix declared that it has partnered with Team Ninja, to produce its next biggest game, Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger Of Paradise. It is notable that the upcoming game again welcomes the classic Final Fantasy villain, Garland.
E3 2021 Day 3 – Capcom Showcase
Although Capcom hosted a bunch of live streaming events to showcase its latest updates, the E3 was the biggest of all. The presentation primarily focused on giving out updates for its’ two greatest games, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin and the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. The latter was previously exclusive for Japan, and it is now coming to the other regions for the first time, with a load of new features and enhanced gameplay. To start with, the presentation revealed updates on Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village. It also stated that we can expect more updates post-launch. The RE: Verse, the multiplayer version of Resident Evil can be expected to arrive in July.
E3 2021 Day 4 – Nintendo
Nintendo’s showcase was the most expected one in the entire E3 conference. According to that, it did not fail all the expectations. Nintendo Direct showcased a pile of games from several franchises. It also revived a few games. The greatest surprise was that Nintendo is remaking Advance Wars 1 and 2. It is planned to release on December 3, 2021. The other games that were revived include Metroid Dread (the much-awaited sequel to Metroid Fusion). The show ended with the showcase of a new trailer of the sequel to Breath Of The Wild, and it is yet to be named.
Apart from the showcases of the biggest game brands, several other notable updates were revealed at the E3 conference. They include Back 4 Blood, Diablo 2: Resurrected, Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, Elden Ring, and Trek to Yomi.
