Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s seventh season was very much awaited by a huge fanbase. There were a lot of hints and leaks about the gameplay, but now the release is officially nearing. The latest update is titled “Elite” and is coming next week, on June 23. Every season of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection appears with its own unique theme. This time, the seventh season is centered around humanity’s alliance with the Arbiter and the “wort-wort-ing” alien friend Elites (called the Sangheili by non-humans), who helped out Fireteam Osiris in Halo 5 and humanity in Halo 3.
The new season is arriving with a lot of new features. It includes a new set of customizations for Elites and their choice of weapon, the energy sword. The Master Chief provides players with seven new armor sets for Elites and seven new skins for their energy swords. We can also expect Elite-themed nameplates or skins for Covenant weapons and vehicles. Apart from these, more features will be available with Season Pass. However, the details are not clear and we don’t know whether these customizations are limited just to a single game like Halo 3 or they are available across multiple games.
Just like the previous seasons, the upcoming one is also free. As players continue playing the game and accrue experience (by finishing matches and completing challenges), they can unlock new items and features. This game combines all of the previous Xbox Halo games into one and adds modern features like 120 FPS support, UHD 4K support, adjustable FOV, and more with a price of $40.
Though no other feature has been confirmed for the upcoming Halo: Master Chief Collection Season 7, we have witnessed what 343 Industries have been testing throughout their flights. The company calls the essential betas that will be added in future seasons of the Halo: Master Chief Collection Series as Flights. If you want to take part in a flight, you just need to sign-up for Halo: Insider. If you become a Halo: Insider, you will also have access to a number of tech previews of Halo Infinite.
This game has been played by over 10 million people as of now, making it one of the most popular sci-fi games available on Xbox right now.
