A load of games is usually stacked up on gaming conventions and people visit them just for that. But since the E3 went completely digital, the demos have gone digital too! Microsoft’s ID@Xbox is the company’s indie game self-publishing and promotional program. The ID@Xbox Summer Game Fest Demo Event kickstarted today, and it has announced around 40 free game demos to Xbox so far. These games are available to download and play for free anytime between June 15 and June 21. So if you are planning to try out every game, you better act fast as there are plenty of details to analyze and there is limited time left.
Xbox wire writes, “Keep in mind that most of these demos are intended to an early look at gameplay and may not represent the full game at their release”. So we can expect these games to evolve into full-fledged highly engaging ones between these demos and their release dates.
The most anticipated games that are available for demo include –
- Tunic, featuring a cute sword holding fox that engages in a Zelda-like adventure
- Lake, where you are a woman, who escapes city life and takes over her dad’s old mail route and learns the changes of her hometown
- Sable, a Mobius art inspired adventurous game
- Echo Generation, a turn based RPG resembling a lot to Stranger Things
