Pokémon Unite, the five vs. five team-based strategy game is the next biggest product of the Pokémon company. Pokémon paired up with Tencent’s TiMi Studios to develop this appealing game. It was first announced in June 2020 and was graciously welcomed by all the Pokémon fans. The wait is finally over for all the expectant gamers as this game is coming out first to Nintendo Switch in July 2021. This will be followed by a release on mobile devices in September. Most probably, it will be released on both iOS and Android platforms. However, the details on the platforms were not announced today.
A short trailer was published on Pokémon Unite’s official YouTube channel. The new Pokémon Unite is bringing up 5 vs 5 group battle matches. In each match, the player will have to catch a wild Pokémon from the surroundings. You can also level up and evolve your Pokémon while beating your opponent who is also trying to do the same. In order to win, you will have to get more points than your competing team, within the time limit. The trailer also shows some unique Pokémon abilities along with two different modes of gameplay – lane, and jungle.
Pokémon Unite is developed to be compatible with Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android platforms. Regarding the multi-player facility, the game allows cross-platform gameplay! This means that you can play this game between players using the Nintendo consoles and mobile devices. All players need not be using the same type of device. Also, it provides cross-progression support. You can either log on to your Pokémon Trainer Club Account or your Nintendo Account according to the device that you use. Pokémon Unite is also planning on bringing support to French, German, Italian, and Spanish languages in the latter part of this year.
The game is free to play, but you can make optional in-game purchases. This may include the paid “Aeos Gems” currency. However, you can earn this currency just from continually playing this game. It may be used to buy accessories and other items for your Pokémon.
As of now, the Pokémon Unite game is all set to release on Nintendo Switch the next month. Further, it is expected to arrive for mobile devices by September. Though there was no exact release date revealed, we can expect more information in the upcoming weeks.
