Leaks and rumors seem impressive as two more PlayStation exclusives are PC bound. These two games include Returnal and Sackboy. Several leaked images online showcase customizable graphics and control menus, a feature only available on personal computers. If these leaks are true, PC gamers have more good news to be happy about, and if they are fake, they are very impressive. Even a trained eye would take them as original in-game screens that have been leaked.
What are Recent PC Leaks on Returnal and Sackboy?
Recently, a Reddit user by the name EmpressOfSony posted a few screenshots on Reddit of the menus of both Returnal and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. These screenshots showcase customizable graphics options and key bindings. Both Returnal and Sackboy are seen to support keyboard and mouse gameplay. The games are also seen to have unlocked frame rate support and detailed graphics customization settings like any other PC title.
Leaks surrounding a PC version of Returnal and Sackboy are nothing new. Their release dates have previously surfaced in the Nvidia GeForce Now release date timeline leak. Although there seems to be some interest around Returnal, Sackboy’s re-release will almost be a try at reviving a dead game. PC gamers are looking at the good stuff from PlayStation like Uncharted, Demon Souls, and Bloodborne. But, only time will tell how well Sackboy: A Big Adventure fares on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Fans expected Sony would reveal the PC port of Returnal at the recent State of Play event. However, the event focused on other announcements. Sony revealed that Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales are coming to PC. Nixxes Software is working on these titles. Upon release, the title will join other games like God of War, Days Gone, and Horizon Zero Dawn on PC. More leaks suggest that Sony will uncover Returnal PC as soon as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves is out on the platform. This means we are quite close to the official reveal of the PC port. With all of these PS exclusives making their way to PC, one thing is evident.
Sony is speeding up the computer ports of their exclusives. With 2 ports in 2020 and just 1 in 2021, it seemed like PC gamers have to wait quite some time to get these great titles. But, we already have got one PlayStation exclusive, God of War, earlier this year on PC. The Spider-Man series was also confirmed recently. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves is bringing two more titles to the platform this month. Over this, if Returnal and Sackboy are also released in 2022, we will get a total of 7 PS exclusives for personal computers. All this makes us extremely excited about the future of gaming on both platforms.
