Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 follows a different path from the previous Call of Duty games. It does not have a campaign mode, which was never seen in the series before. Thus, it was significantly cheaper compared to full-fledged AAA titles. Activision also introduced an all-new battle royale mode, Blackout, with this game. Unfortunately, it flopped, continued declining, and is dead as of 2021. On the other hand, several remarkable maps were introduced with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. One of them is Alcatraz. Alcatraz was a fan favorite, and was reintroduced in Call of Duty: Warzone in the form of “Rebirth Island”. Although the player count of this game has fallen significantly, you still can jump in for some quick multiplayer experience. But to get there, your computer must fit the system requirements of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Activision requires you to have at least an Intel Core i3 4340 @3.60 GHz or an AMD FX 6300 @3.50 – 3.80 GHz coupled with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2 GB or a GTX 1050 2 GB or an AMD Radeon HD 7950 2 GB to get the game up and running at 1080p 30 fps. However, 30 fps is not the mode you would want to play a first-person shooter in. Also, the GTX 1050 2 GB is far more capable compared to the GTX 660 2 GB. Activision weirdly listed them together as the minimum specification.
To play the game at the highest visual fidelity, you must have an Intel Core i5 2500K @3.30 – 3.70 GHz or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @3.60 – 4.00 GHz combined with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4 GB or a GTX 1060 6 GB or an AMD Radeon RX 580 4 GB. Although these requirements are paltry compared to 2021 standards, they are pretty hefty for a title that came out in 2018.
Also, the game does not support any upscaling technologies such as Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR. Hence, gamers with lower-end GPUs cannot boost their frame rates or resolutions.
