Resident Evil Village is one of the best games of 2021. Developers Capcom pushed the game to its limits with large textures. Although that pushed VRAM requirements, the game does not need very high-end hardware to get up and running. It can run well at 1080p on a four-year-old Ryzen 3 1200 and an RX 560 or a GTX 1050 Ti. The RX 560 and GTX 1050 Ti GPUs are entry-level bottom-of-the-line 1080p gaming GPUs from 2017. The fact that they still can run 2021 AAA titles at 1080p is enchanting. Resident Evil Village also supports AMD© FSR upscaling technology. This will allow all gamers to boost FPS to their heart’s content.

Crazy high VRAM requirements make playing Resident Evil: Village on entry-level GPUs a bit quirky. But, any GPU with 6GB of VRAM or higher should be sufficient at 1080p. At 1440p, any GPU with 8GB of VRAM should nail it. But, 2160p is extremely demanding. It is four times the pixels compared to 1080p. So, you need a GPU with more than 8GB of VRAM to play Village at Max settings. 12GB of VRAM is the sweet spot at 2160p.
Resident Evil: Village is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Google Stadia.
