The Medium is one of the most graphically impressive and one of the most demanding games of 2021. From the story to narration to ambiance and dual-reality gameplay, it’s a masterpiece of a title in the horror genre. However, the minimum system requirements of The Medium will likely blow you away. Bloober Team requires you to have at least an Intel® Core™ i5 6600 @3.30-3.90 GHz or an AMD Ryzen™ 5 2500X @3.60-4.00 GHz combined with an NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1650 Super 4 GB or the GTX 1060 6 GB or an AMD Radeon™ R9 390X 4 GB to play the game at 1080p on the lowest settings. While the 1650 Super is not a very capable GPU, judging by the release date, it still has plenty before it regularly ends up on the minimum GPU specification sheet. Thankfully, the power the game requires from the system results in outstanding visual fidelity.
To play the game using the highest settings at 2160p, you need an Intel® Core™ i5 9600 @3.10-4.60 GHz or an AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700X @3.6-4.4 GHz coupled with an NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2080 8 GB or RTX 3060 Ti 12 GB or Radeon™ RX 6800 16 GB. These settings are not very high as compared to other 2021 AAA titles. Also, the game comes with support for NVIDIA DLSS. So, players with weaker Nvidia RTX GPUs like the RTX 2060 or the RTX 3050 Ti can push some higher frames.
