Valorant is one of the latest e-sports sensations. It was released in 2020 and has been going strong ever since then. One of the major key factors that contribute to its popularity is its graphic style. The game does not follow a photorealism approach unlike other well-known multiplayer titles like PUBG, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty: Warzone. This rather unique graphic style contributes to extremely low system requirements for Valorant. The specifications are so low that even a “potato” PC can run the game at a respectable frame rate.
Riot Games require you to have at least an Intel® Core™️ 2 Duo E8400 @3.0 GHz or an AMD® Athlon™️ 200GE @3.20 GHz coupled with an Intel® HD 4000 or an AMD® Radeon™️ R5 200 to get the game up and running at 1080p 30fps using the lowest settings. These settings are too old and too trivial for any 2020 title. However, Valorant isn’t a game that you would want to play in 30 fps, and we’d say 60 fps is the bottom line. Riot Games states you would need at least an Intel® Core™️ i3 4150 @3.50 GHz or an AMD® Ryzen™️ 3 1200 @3.10 – 3.40 GHz coupled with a Nvidia® GeForce™️ GT 730 or an AMD® Radeon™️ R7 240 to play the game at 1080p 60 fps using the highest quality settings.
But, the game does not require very powerful hardware to run the game at 120+ fps. Riot declares that an Intel® Core™️ i5 9400F @2.90 – 4.10 GHz or an AMD® Ryzen™️ 5 2600X @3.60 – 4.20 GHz coupled with a Nvidia® GeForce™️ GTX 1050 Ti or an AMD® Radeon™️ R7 370 will give you 144+ fps at 1080p. This is incredible because both of those cards are entry-level offerings from Nvidia and AMD from a few years back. Obviously, the game does not look very visually impressive, and thus, isn’t very demanding.
